High driver count with 3D soundstage
Nio is 64 Audio’s first high driver-count hybrid, with a total of 9 drivers. A dynamic driver provides immersive bass energies and 6 balanced armatures handle the mids, topped with a mid-treble and a treble balanced armature driver that specifically handles the frequencies.
The configuration characterizes the sound richly with a huge 3-dimensional staging and a lot of details in the mids. Treble is also smoothly presented and enjoyable for hours of listenings, no matter what songs you put on. Like many other IEMs from 64 Audio, the housing is machined from a solid block of aluminum, but this time it is finished with a striking blue abalone faceplate.
LID Technology
Lid, or Linear Impedance Design, empowers a steady, dependable sound regardless of what source. This exclusive circuit rectifies the non-linear impedances of the drivers, reestablishing legitimate interaction with the source and preserving the desired sound signature.
Whether you are an artist trying on a variety of gear at your different gigs or studios, or an audiophile listening from low-impedance sources like your laptop, Lid guarantees your IEMs are conveying the specified sound signature reliably and deliver desirable performance at all times.
Tia™ Resonance-Free Design
Tubeless In-Ear Audio (tia) is a patented IEM design methodology that aims to reduce unwanted resonance and distortion for a transparent and lifelike sound signature. The Tia™ system is comprised of three major elements: open balanced armature tia drivers, the tia single-bore design, and tia acoustic chambers. Nio features two major elements of the tia system: the tia driver and the tia single-bore design.
Apex Venting Technology
Air Pressure Exchange (Apex) is a patented vent that releases air pressure in a sealed ear canal all while retaining standard IEM levels of isolation; enabling musicians and music enthusiasts to listen more comfortably for longer. This venting alleviates listener fatigue and allows for a much more realistic soundstage. Apex comes in three module variations for Nio: mX, m15 and m20.
