…continues Astell&Kern’s history of thrilling innovation while maintaining the uncompromising sound quality for which the company is known.
The company wanted to show the people a product of fun that is difficult to find in most Hi-Fi devices with the SE180, in addition to good audio technology.
Different DACs may be employed in one DAP, much like the SE200, but Astell&Kern wanted to do something different with the SE180. Interchangeable All-in-One Modules continue the multi-DAC experience while adding a new and exciting dimension.
So the new SE180 DAP features:

Interchangeable All-in-One Module
The SE180 offers users the ability to switch between different modules to customize the player to their needs. Users can choose the best ideal module for premium Hi-Fi sound by experimenting with different DAC/AMP setups, settings and outputs for each module. It features an ingenious double-locking mechanism that tightly connects each component without any sense of separation between the two. Thus, the SE180 differs from other devices with interchangeable modules in that it uses a double locking mechanism instead of screws. The module and housing are connected by the first locking structure. The user is informed by the second locking structure that the module is firmly attached to the main body.
The spring-loaded internal connectors of the main body provide a stable audio signal connection.
Upgraded User Experience
The SE180 has a new navigation bar, the first one in an Astell&Kern player, to offer more comfortable moving around the player’s user interface that resembles the experience of an Android smartphone.
The SE180’s new AK File Drop feature makes file transfers more easier and more comfortable. You can transfer files wirelessly using AK File Drop from a PC, smartphone, or FTP program on the same network. Wireless music file management is now possible.

The SE180 does have an LED volume wheel that shows different playing information, such as the current track’s volume level and bit rate.
The TREATON ALPHA Sound Solution
TERATON ALPHA uses Astell&Kern’s patented technologies, which are the output of tens of thousands of hours of innovative products to generate sound that is as near to the artist’s and producer’s as possible.
Lastest Bluetooth technology featuring BT Sink and BT 5.0
The SE180 can now connect to an external device by Bluetooth thanks to the new BT Sink feature. The BT Sink function allows music from an external device, such as with a smartphone, to be played back in excellent quality on the SE180. Thus, it is possible for the A&K Player to connect bidirectional bluetooth.
Furthermore, the Hi-Res player is equipped with the current Bluetooth 5.0, wich has a higher transmission speed, a greater range, and a more stable wireless connection than Bluetooth 4.2.
